Ethiopia is a power house supplier of arabica coffee beans ensuring we get our $100 billion daily fix. At the bottom of the supply chain there is little opportunity to make sufficient profit to invest in sustainable farming practice. Consequently the environmental toll to supply the world with arabica beans leads to annual loses of 1.9 billion tons of soil through erosion. It’s believed that 27 million hectares of Ethiopian land has already eroded. So we do our little bit by planting 5 trees on your behalf for every case of Homestead or Vineyards range purchased - 250 trees planted in Ethiopia.
